Rewilding the Senses
Bringing the human soul back into conscious relationship with nature.
Each thing or being we meet in nature, everything that we observe, has its own hidden existence. If we have the skills to perceive it, we are swept into a dynamic relationship, an understanding, where the creation mysteries of our world unfold, and where we potentially transform. We create a bridge between our rational intellectual mind and our inner world, and to the soul of the world, reshaping all of life toward holistic wellbeing and the birth of an ecological consciousness as a more sustainable world emerges.
Humanity seeks the unseen sacred within everyday life. Rewilding the Senses seeks to help individuals in their development of an ecological consciousness by extending our understanding and capabilities of sensory experience and perception as faculties for restoring our connection with the more-than-human world. A comprehensive set of sensory and cognitive practices are suggested. This book aims to inspire people to get back to the great outdoors and explore these ideas in nature. If we can change the way we experience the world, it evolves our personal consciousness, and dissolves boundaries—we experience ourselves as less and less separate from the web of life—restoring well-being not only for ourselves, but also for our planet.
“Your ethos and whole understanding of nature and consciousness is outstanding”
Recovering the Wild Sacred
Originally Published In: Immanence Journal
Large predatory animals are often vilified, demonized, and extirpated because historic and narrative fallacies integrate into societal and cultural memories. This happening can be seen as the evolution of an emergent process that takes place across generations. The archetypal and symbolic narrative of the historical extirpation of wolves in Yellowstone National Park is examined together with the 2,500-year-old myth of Gilgamesh, in which the protagonist undertakes a journey into the Cedar Forest to exterminate the creature, Humbaba. Through these two examples, using analysis and depth psychology—the study of the unconscious—Ms. Covi explores the consequences of unconscious archetypal energy, or universal patterns’ manifestation in the individual or society.
The Language of the Soul
The underlying unity that links us in the vastness of the cosmos often transcends empirical evidence. Because the direct understanding of the connection between our psyches and the natural world is elusive, this bond is frequently communicated through the language of the soul – symbolism.

Lucca and Capri always believed the forest was just trees, streams, and rocks—until their grandmother, Mimsy, showed them how to listen with more than just their ears. Guided by her gentle wisdom, they discover that everything in nature is alive with knowing—birds carry stories from afar and scatter them across the forest floor, rivers whisper their winding journeys, and even the smallest pebble hums with the voice of the Earth, just waiting for the right listener.
With the help of Landvaettir, the ancient guardian of wild places, the children awaken something more magical than they ever imagined—a shimmering thread that loops their hearts to the whales, the moss, the moon, and the breath of the forest—each one joined by the quiet pulse of something ancient, shared, and alive.
Mimsy and the Pebbles of Time is a five-book series of heart-awakening tales, where wonder, kinship, and the Earth’s dreams live between every line. These stories remind us that the world isn’t quiet at all. When we pause, listen closely, and tend the Earth with love, it speaks—and something stirs inside us too: a forgotten part of who we are, wild and curious and very much alive. Because nature isn’t just something we walk through—it’s where the beauty of the Earth meets the wildness in our hearts.
Set against the breathtaking backdrop of Nova Scotia, where sea cliffs kiss the sky and the tides rise and fall like the breath of the Earth itself, this unforgettable series invites readers—young and old—to listen, to wonder, and to remember that . . . beneath the ordinary awaits a wild, breathing Earth—alive with meaning, and longing to be seen.
Can you say Zizza-Zeez?
Join us on an adventure into the forest where you’ll discover the animals’ magical voices as they invite you to sing along. Can You Say Zizza-Zeez inspires children to listen deeply to nature. Deep listening ignites curiosity, and this curiosity is the threshold to new worlds, captivating discoveries, and an appreciation for our natural world.
