What People Are Saying . . .

What you will learn

  • How to cultivate the soil to create a more reciprocal relationship between the human psyche, modern society, and our natural world.

  • Strategies to reawaken our sensory perceptual faculties to new experiences, in which the lived present contains the possibility of new knowledge and a new future for both oneself and the living Earth.

  • The key concepts, and their interactions, to developing an ecological consciousness as illustrated in the iRewild Mind Map.

  • How and why we have become separated from nature.

  • A sense-making exploration of our own interconnectedness with—and inseparability from—nature.

  • How to raise our consciousness and contribute to social change.

  • The significance of the psychological phenomenon of psychic numbing and how it causes us to feel indifferent to the plights and suffering of other people and of our planet.

  • How our interactions with nature can be a mirror of our own human experience—a mirror for the life challenges that we are battling within ourselves.

  • Enriching and transforming practices to explore, evaluate, and analyze our ecological consciousness, learning to link archetypal patterns in the human psyche, society, and culture.

  • Ways to engage our creativity as activist and agent of social change. We will explore how creativity fuels our passion, and then, put it to work.

  • How to shift from an ego-system, completely focused on the well-being of oneself, to an eco-system awareness that emphasizes the well-being of the whole, allowing possibilities for new relationships and for new understandings between different perspectives to take place.

  • How to illuminate our blind spots and act from an emerging future.

  • To identify and reflect upon all all stakeholders for a healthy environment and ecological balances, particularly the ones that are most marginalized and about which we know the least. How do they experience the current situation?

  • To develop an Earth Address and Earth Resource Disclosure for yourself, or your company, customers, and employees.

  • How to connect to the soul of the world.

  • To explore ways to stay endlessly curious, to cultivate that state of wonder of what might be, to re-engage, to re-awaken the mind from the rigidity of the familiar.

  • How and why we inhibit what we see.

  • Approaches to listening deeply for all the dimensions of an-other.

  • To investigate the reality of imagination, and how various creators have tapped into that realm through the “waking dream” state for inspiration.

  • The importance of why all of life on Earth can be appreciated on its own terms—each life form according to its natural abilities necessary for living its own life–not merely as reflections of human experience.

  • The value of respect, responsibility, reciprocity, and gratitude as catalysts of positive change.

  • To become more skilled and able to see the world through multiple lenses, thus acquiring a larger toolbox for solving our world’s challenges.

  • To identify opportunities for becoming more consciously and emotionally available, and to remember our true selves, thereby opening ourselves to new possibilities to experience the world in a more authentic way.

  • To work creatively, ethically, and authentically in everyday life.

  • To identify how our biases, beliefs, opinions, judgments, and adaptive imperatives keep us from discovering our authentic selves and how to free ourselves from their limitations.

  • To explore perceptive or visionary imagination. Perceptive imagination allows us to see and sense things and possibilities that are not visible to the recognized bodily senses or intellect.

  • To enrich our creative capacities with a collaborative experience. We ask participants to either work alone or together in couples or small groups to envision, design, and then create a project or creative teaching practice that ignites their passion and, in turn, addresses a challenge our world faces.

  • The further development of emotional intelligence skills and how they make for a thriving, more fulfilling life experience and stronger relationships.

How you (and our planet) will benefit

  • Differentiate Yourself

  • Demonstrate Your Commitment to Ongoing Professional Education

  • Lead with Best Practices in Your Field

If we can change the way we experience the world, we experience ourselves as less separate from the web of life—restoring well-being not only for ourselves, but also for our planet and all life on Earth. This approach sustains the living ecologies of Earth. It evolves our ecological consciousness and stewardship. It is a life of belonging, kinship, and interdependence.
